This draft policy describes the data Farmstand expects to collect and process for the MVP. It should be reviewed by counsel before public launch.
Information We Collect
We may collect account details, farm profile information, customer records, orders, products, inventory, expenses, media, emails, billing selections, domain requests, support messages, and technical logs needed to operate the service.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide Farmstand features, authenticate users, run checkout, manage subscriptions, send farm communications, calculate limits, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and support billing, domains, storage, and hosted email.
Service Providers
Farmstand may use providers such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend or another email provider, domain registrars, storage providers, analytics, and support tools. Provider secrets are stored server-side and should never be exposed in browser code.
Customer Data
Farmers are responsible for getting any required consent before uploading or emailing their customers. Farmstand provides opt-in fields and customer records to help farmers manage consent.
Exports and Deletion
Farmers should be able to export core business records where export tools exist. Deletion and retention rules should be finalized before launch to account for payment, tax, fraud, and legal obligations.
